The Torrance Marriott Redondo Beach receives mixed reviews, highlighted by its convenient location near the Del Amo Mall and LAX, along with generally friendly staff and a decent pool area. However, guests frequently cite high parking fees, issues with room technology (outdated TVs, malfunctioning coffee makers), and inconsistencies in service, particularly regarding room upgrades for Marriott loyalty members.
The rooms are ok. A decent chair to sit and watch TV would be nice. So would a small microwave oven. It's 45.00 a night to park, that's a lot. The restaurant is pretty good, as is the breakfast buffet. The weather wasn't great so I never even bothered going to the pool, but they do have one. It's okay. It's definitely better than 3 stars, so 4, because why not.
The hotel rooms are cozy. The hotel is near a lot of shopping and food places. It is a nice area. The only issue is the rooms have little flashing indicator lights that you can't turn off that make it a little hard to sleep but it isn’t too bad.
Is this a nice hotel? I'm not sure. I usually really like staying at Marriott (Bonvoy Titanium member) bit this particular hotel kinda always has something that annoys me. Little things; shower pressure is awful, TV in room is ancient and not user-friendly, slow wi-fi. These things may not be important to some people but when i travel on business these are the things that help me relax. I also never seem the get the upgraded room on a high floor that I'm supposed to get with my status; i may come off a little entitled there, but it'd be nice, ya know?? The Doubletree down the street is better all around. Given a choice, I'd stay there. You should, too.
Front desk has no idea what they are doing. Expects customers to work in order to fix mistakes that are clearly theirs, one example would be being double charged for parking and them refusing to take responsibility without work on our part.
If I could, I would give them a single star. Initially, we thought the room was clean, but upon entering the restroom, we discovered blood on our towels. This incident highlights their negligence in ensuring the safety of their guests. Moreover, they charge an exorbitant $42.00 for parking, which is significantly high. It’s greed on the hotels end since I’ve already paid over $300.00 for a stay. This was my first and last time staying at this establishment. To make matters worse, there was no water in the room.
Good hotel location, close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The location is also very quiet, has a gym, and a pool. The hotel rooms are in good condition, clean, and come with all the standard affairs. Only complaint about the stay was that there was some sort of company party happening and all of the parking spots were taken. I had to circle the parkade numerous times before the attendant let me park in the valet section.
Standard Marriott rooms before the latest refresh (still has alarm clock and ironing board). Still in good condition, but starting to show age a little. Overall good restaurants and withing walking of other options.
I'd like to let everyone know that Tanya in the Starbucks coffee ?? shop is awesome ? she is very polite and has excellent customer service skills ? she has made our stay totally worthwhile and is just a big blessing to have working with Marriott in the Torrance location ? she made our stay wonderful!*100 percent ?
Had a great stay at Marriott Redondo Beach Hotel! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and professional throughout our stay. Excellent location, smooth check-in, and a very relaxing overall experience. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
I love staying at the Marriot hotels this one has the local beer from Red Car Brewery on tap for anyone wanting a taste of Torrance hometown culture and they also have giant games in their patio like Connect 4 and Jenga (I think) and bean bag toss games. It's cool in the summertime which is almost all the time. It's always nice, clean, 3tc
